Own It
We do not walk past problems because they are difficult, unclear, or technically someone else's responsibility. We step in, determine what needs to happen, and take ownership of moving it forward.
Most of your time will be spent in tax, but this is not a heads down preparation role.
You will prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation returns for construction, trades, real estate, and closely held business clients.
The work may include reviewing complex returns, working through multi state issues, helping clients make tax decisions, and coaching team members through situations they have not encountered before.
During filing season, the focus is execution: keeping returns moving, resolving open items, communicating directly with clients, and making sure the work leaving the firm is accurate.
Outside filing season, the role becomes more advisory and may include:
You will also work alongside our Fractional CFO advisory team. Over time, the goal is for this person to take on more advisory responsibility, understand the business behind the tax return, help owners interpret their numbers, and become someone clients involve before making important financial decisions.
The person who does well here steps into problems instead of routing them around, brings a recommendation instead of only a question, and communicates important issues early. Details and preparation matter, but so does being willing to admit when you are wrong and being comfortable participating directly in client conversations.
Linden Peak Accounting is a fast growing, technology forward firm with deep expertise in construction, trades, and real estate businesses generally ranging from $5 million to $50 million in revenue.

We do not walk past problems because they are difficult, unclear, or technically someone else's responsibility. We step in, determine what needs to happen, and take ownership of moving it forward.
Questions are welcome. Start with what you know, look for the answer, and use your judgment. When you need help, bring what you found, what you think it means, and what you recommend doing next.
We are not paid to be busy. We are paid to make things better. Analysis should lead to decisions, meetings should lead to action, and our work should create meaningful value.
If something matters, say it. We disagree respectfully, surface problems early, and tell clients and teammates what they need to hear.
We care deeply about excellent work and very little about getting credit for it. Details and preparation matter, but the best idea should win regardless of title or tenure.
Great work is a team effort. We carry our weight, ask for help before we are overwhelmed, step in when someone else needs support, share what we know, and keep one another informed.
We are ambitious about our work, but work is not the whole point. Do exceptional work while you are here, then go live your life.
